Privacy
Quip Rescue makes a private archive of your Quip account. To build it, Quip Rescue processes the Quip data your token can reach, including documents, spreadsheets, folders, attachments, and comments.
Hosted access is open to signed-in Google users. Use it only for personal or free Quip accounts. Google sign-in identifies your hosted account. It isn't your archive encryption secret.
We keep your encrypted Quip token while exporting, then remove it when the export ends.
After the export, the hosted archive is encrypted. Archive downloads fetch encrypted bytes and decrypt them in your browser. This protects the storage bucket if stored archive files leak, but it isn't a zero-knowledge claim: Quip Rescue can decrypt hosted archives while they remain on the service, and the worker handles plaintext while it builds your archive.
Hosted copies are temporary. You can download the archive, delete the hosted copy, or let Quip Rescue expire it after the retention window. The downloaded archive is the durable copy you control. Exports may queue, pause, or fail while the service is experimental.
